Licensing Terms and Conditions

You will find on 2436.ca a stock of high quality photos in high resolution. I aim to hold many different quality images on file covering all sorts of subject matter for you to browse through online. Should you find an image that suits your requirement then there is an online facility to quote an instant price to licence the image or alternatively you can request a quotation.

2436.ca is a stock photo library, providing "Rights Managed" images (of country, nature, Artistic, lanscapes, cars, architecture, animals, insects..) for use by media, commercial, personal and educational organisations. Rights Managed images are licensed to the end user for a single use (or multiple use if requested), with the photographer retaining all copyright of the image. The type of usage and time period are specified at the time of license purchase. If the image is required for further projects, a new image license must be obtained prior to use. If you require multiple licenses for an image, please contact the site administrator.

This is a legal agreement between you, your company, or organisation ("the licensee") and the copyright owner or their agent ("2436.ca").

All images are copyright and may not be reproduced without prior permission from 2436.ca. All images are Rights Managed. The ownership and copyright of the image remains with the original copyright owner.

No ownership or copyright is transferred to the licensee by purchase of a license agreement. By confirming the purchase of an image license agreement from 2436.ca you are entering a legal agreement and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions listed herein.

Unless stated otherwise, the Licensee is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-assignable right to use the licensed image strictly limited to the restrictions specified at time of license purchase including but not limited to: image size, type of use, distribution, period of use, print run. Unless agreed in writing, any licensed image used for editorial purposes must include the credit line "2436.ca".

The license fee is dependant on the rights granted. You must notify 2436.ca if the requirements for the image license change. Use of an image in a manner not in agreement with the restrictions specified at the time of license purchase constitute a breach of license agreement and infringement of copyright.

The license applies to a single reproduction only within a publication or advertisement. Further license(s) are required for further reproductions of an image.

The image(s) may not be resold, sublicensed, or made available for distribution. You may not use the image(s) in a way that may be considered pornographic, defamatory, fraudulent or illegal in manner. The licensee is responsible for ensuring that all necessary rights or consents have been obtained with regards to images depicting and not limited to logos, trademarks, works of art, architecture.

These images are watermarked, however purchased images will have these removed.
